"Soft, personal jazz guitar from a player who's
obviously done some wood-shedding"  - Listen.com

Hello, and welcome to my homepage. I am a Canadian new-age jazz guitar player who graduated from the Musician's Institute of Technology in Los Angeles (1988-89). I feel very fortunate to have attended M.I.T. because I was able to study under some of the greatest names in guitar.

For the past 25 years or so, I have resided on Vancouver Island on the west coast of British Columbia; perhaps one of the most scenic places in the world. The dramatic sights of the ocean and neighbouring mountains have always been an inspirational tool.

Solo jazz guitar is what I specialize in, but I love pretty much all forms of jazz music; from avant-garde to fusion.  It seems these days, I pretty much play as a solo act, probably because I really don't know of too many other jazz musicians in this town.  The few that I do know of aren't really  into the same type of thing that I'm into.  I really enjoy playing live and it's still fun, even when there is a miniscule audience. I am hoping to one day tour across Canada, playing in as many different types of venues as I can.

My 1st CD has been getting radio airplay from places as far away as the Ukraine, and of course, here too in Canada. The title of it is: Me, Myself & I.  The CD is a collection of solo-jazz guitar songs, featuring some original compositions and some jazz standards.   It's on the Emmix Jazz label and you can check it out by following the link under the "CD" heading on the right hand side of the page.

I'm currently working on a 2nd CD and I'm posting some preview songs. You can check them out under "New Music", on the right hand side.
